I am originally from The Bay Area in California but now currently reside in the Los Angeles area, where I attend The Art Center College of Design. I aspire to work for in Feature Animation as soon as I finish school, but right now I'm enjoy showing in galleries.

As far as inspiration goes, I find Alice in Wonderland, Wallace and Gromit, Wizard of Oz, and Dumbo EXTREMEMLY disturbing. I'm actually mentally incapable of watching these movies and I don't know why. I've decided that my creatures are a way of expressing the sheer disturbance I get from these childhood movies, and in a way, painting is a source of therapy for me.

I enjoy creating characters in my sketchbook, then putting them into situations, combining my character development skills with my entertainment background concepts. I try to incorporate texture into all my paintings because I don't find a flat canvas terribly exciting. I started out doing experimental abstracts, and moving paint with found materials around the canvas, which has influenced my process now.

I love making people laugh when they look at my cracked-out characters and sad creatures. I think the best works I do are the ones where I take a step back and shake my head, laughing at myself and the ridiculous things that come out of my twisted little mind.
